Hull for Bismarck

A passionate traveler, Matt Hull has seen the way things work—and don’t work—in cities both across the country and internationally. While he grew up in St. Louis, MO, lived in Oregon, and even Scotland while pursuing his Masters in Archaeology, Matt has called Bismarck home for the last decade. As a candidate for City Commissioner, Matt hopes to share all he’s learned from the Bismarck Citizen Academy, the canvassing of his fellow residents, and his travels to help maintain Bismarck as a city that serves the needs of its people and maybe even make it better, too!

In addition to his work as an archaeologist, Matt has embraced and engaged with the Bismarck community in the past by organizing weekly board game nights, open to all; attending a multitude of community events; getting his hands dirty gardening; and dancing—where he met his wife, Sarah Walker, whose family has deep roots in Bismarck as well.

Above all, Matt just wants Bismarck to have choices at the ballot box—and as a Commissioner, he plans to make the input of his fellow residents the guiding force for his votes. When you see him out walking and canvassing, don’t hesitate to let him know your hopes and concerns!
